This is a gal, Anne Genung, I met during the E.A.S.T studio tours. She had an interesting loft space/studio that we cruised through… plus, she fed us beers that day, so +2 for that.
She said she grew up as somewhat of a society girl in Dallas and that the HARD LUCK was a play on that lifestyle more than anything. The ink is also purposely faded back a bit, so as not to be so intense .. and perhaps have better longevity over time with blurring/fading.
